Nightmare Overture, Op. 73

by David Lee Grossman

/

about

A piece for concert band merging the styles of John Williams and Danny Elfman. At the time, one of the first pieces I wrote to emulate the sound of a particular composer (or in this case, composers), it combines the post-romantic sound of Williams with the more mysterious and slightly humorous sound of Elfman.

Finished 1/16/2013. Recorded using Finale 2012 and Garritan sound libraries (COMB 2/GPO 4). Mixed with Audacity.
