Prelude and Fugue in G, Op. 82 (Prelude) [Live]

from Senior Recital by David Lee Grossman

/

about

A prelude with a very baroque feel, this piece is the first in a planned set of four short preludes and fugues for organ in a baroque style.

As I started planning my recital, one of the first things I knew I needed was both a good beginning piece and a good end piece. Around the same time, I also began writing this piece, and realized that there wouldn’t be anything more appropriate to start a recital with than a prelude.

Like almost all of my music, this piece fits very well into the modern classical genre.
